Karting Almancil Family Park

Karting Almancil Family Park is a multi-activity karting and family attraction just outside Almancil, a few minutes from Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. Opened in 1992 and godfathered by Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, its main circuit is a 760 metre replica of the old Jacarepaguá F1 track in Brazil, run with 200cc karts (from EUR 17 for a 10 minute session) or faster 400cc karts, with adapted karts available for reduced-mobility drivers. Younger visitors have their own tracks: the Junior circuit (120cc karts, ages 6 to 12, plus two-seaters for a parent and a child under 6) and the Baby circuit (electric cars for ages 3 to 6). Beyond karting, the park runs a Go Buggy/ATV off-road route over old WRC rally terrain (a category B driving licence is required), mini bumper boats, bungee trampolines, a mechanical rodeo bull, a playground, a snack bar and a small petting zoo. The park is open Tuesday from 2pm to 7pm and Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 7pm, closed on Mondays. It also runs birthday parties and group or corporate events.
