Frog & Fiddle

Frog & Fiddle is an Irish bar in Almancil, just across the road from the Almancil train station, run as the sister venue of O'Neills Vilamoura and powered by the same team (O'Neills describes it on its own site as 'our vibrant sister venue in Almancil'). The venue has a wide outdoor terrace with wooden decking and a beer garden built around a giant outdoor screen for live sport, plus a cosier indoor space with bar stools and a fireplace for the winter season. Food is served all day, with breakfast available anytime alongside a full menu and a quick-bites menu outside weekday lunch hours and all weekend. Dishes include the signature Fiddle Burger (homemade beef with bacon, lettuce, cheese, egg and caramelised onion), jardineira (meat in broth with salad, chips and rice), tempura prawns, sweet potato chips and onion rings, and desserts such as brownies with ice cream and molten chocolate, alongside cocktails including piña colada and Aperol spritz. The bar runs live music, karaoke and live sports broadcasts, and its Sunday carvery is highlighted as a must-try by local press. Frog & Fiddle takes bookings for private events including birthdays, weddings, Day 1s and Day 2s, with customised buffet and drinks packages for groups.
