Family Golf Park sits in the middle of Vilamoura, close to the marina, on grounds that used to be known as Roma Mini Golf. The 10,000 square metre site is landscaped with over 200 species of plants and trees, and holds two separate 18-hole courses: Via Áppia (crazy golf, themed around the Roman Empire) and Via Lusitânia (adventure-style mini golf, themed around the Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula), complete with columns, arches and a Roman legionary statue. Adult tickets are EUR 18.50 for one course or EUR 19.50 for both (the second course can be played within 15 days of the first visit), with junior tickets (ages 6 to 12) at EUR 14.50 and EUR 15.50, and children under 5 playing free alongside a paying adult. Booking online through the park's own booking page gets a 15 percent discount off these prices. Beyond the golf, the park runs a tourist train that loops out to Falésia and Marina beaches, a Family Café serving burgers, hot dogs and milkshakes (from EUR 5.50 to EUR 12.50), a kids' club and an arcade games room with snooker, table football and air hockey. The park is open every day from 10am, with closing times stretching from 6pm in the low season out to midnight or 1am at the height of summer. It regularly hosts events, including a Portuguese leg of the World Adventure Golf Tour and seasonal workshops for children.
