When Ingrid Parnis opened Equilibrio Interiors on the road into Vale do Lobo in 1992, the Algarve luxury property market looked very different. She has been designing Golden Triangle homes through every version of it since. Interior design studios come and go in the Algarve luxury market. Very few survive a decade, let alone three. Equilibrio's continuity came from Ingrid's insistence on two things: a studio aesthetic she calls timeless elegance, and long supplier relationships with European furniture houses that most Algarve designers never establish. The studio has grown over the years into a small team on Estrada Vale do Lobo in Almancil, with Ingrid still setting the design language. Every project starts the same way: a detailed client briefing, a site walkthrough, and a palette of fabrics, finishes and furniture built specifically around the home rather than pulled off a mood-board template. Equilibrio is the exclusive Algarve representative for Eichholtz and Trowbridge, which means the team can place entire schemes without the lead-time compromises that normally bottleneck a villa fit-out. Clients range from full villa renovations in Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo through soft-furnishings refreshes for existing homes, all the way to consulting briefs where the client wants to direct their own project but needs a studio eye guiding them.
