Conversas de Alpendre

Conversas de Alpendre is a rural retreat in Cacela Velha, in the eastern Algarve (Sotavento), with sea views and around 2 km from the area's beaches. It is run by the same family as its sister property, Colégio Charm House in Tavira, and offers a range of suites, including a tree house, suited to couples or families. The retreat follows several sustainability practices: filtered water served in glass bottles, glass or polycarbonate cups at the bar instead of plastic, solar panels, local and seasonal suppliers, and reduced towel changes, alongside efforts to preserve mature trees on the property and plant new ones. Meals include a breakfast made from fresh, high quality produce and occasional chef's surprise dinners. Conversas de Alpendre was named a Travel & Hospitality Awards winner for 2021, and is featured by boutique travel curators including i-escape, Mr & Mrs Smith, Tablet Hotels, SecretPlaces and Travel Rebels.
