Clube de Ténis e Padel de Lagos

Clube de Ténis e Padel de Lagos (CTPL) was founded on 4 July 1987 as a Public Utility Institution, with the goal of building a centre of tennis excellence in the western Algarve. Its first fast-surface tennis courts opened in 1990, and by 2000 membership had grown past 1,400, with the club already hosting regional tournaments and training young players. Padel arrived in 2016 with new synthetic grass courts, and a modern clubhouse, with a snack bar, pro shop, changing rooms and panoramic terraces, opened on 25 April 2019. The club today runs five tennis courts and six padel courts from Rua General Humberto Delgado in Lagos, with more than 2,000 members and 11 official tournaments a year registered with the Portuguese Tennis Federation across youth, senior and veteran levels. Court hire costs EUR 10 an hour for tennis and EUR 30 per 90-minute padel session for non-members (EUR 8 and EUR 24 for members), with racket and ball hire also available. Private lessons run from EUR 28 to EUR 55 for 50 minutes depending on group size and membership. Courts can be booked online through Playtomic, and the club keeps an active Instagram account, @clubedetenisepadeldelagos, alongside its own booking, prices and history pages.
