Clínica Pacífico Unipessoal Lda

Clínica Pacífico is a dental practice in Albufeira, founded in the Algarve in 1995. The clinical team includes Dr. John McKean, a dental surgeon who qualified in 1975 at the University of Birmingham Dental School in the UK, Dr. Helena Rodrigues, an orthodontist who graduated in 2006 and later specialised in paediatric dentistry and orthodontics including Invisalign accreditation, and Dr. Nuno Read, a general dentist from Coimbra focused on restorative and aesthetic dentistry and periodontology. Dr McKean has spoken about his own childhood experience of dental fear, which he says now helps him understand and support patients who are nervous about visiting the dentist, working to make sure patients feel in control of their treatment and are kept fully informed, including of costs. Alongside general dentistry, the clinic offers facial cosmetic treatments carried out by its medical team, including Botox (botulinum toxin injections to relax targeted facial muscles and soften wrinkles) and hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane, used to restore lost volume and smooth lines, with effects typically lasting 6 to 9 months. The practice is on the ground floor with wheelchair-accessible parking, and treats children as a particular priority to help them build good dental habits early.
