British Corner Shop

British Corner Shop is an online supermarket built for British expats, trading from britishcornershop.co.uk since 1999. The site's own about page puts it simply: "since our humble beginnings in 1999, we have refined and developed British Corner Shop, building on the wants and needs of our loyal customers." The catalogue runs to more than 6,000 British products, from Cadbury, Warburtons, Heinz, McVitie's and Walkers through to Marks and Spencer, Waitrose, Tesco Finest, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda and Boots ranges, shipped from the company's UK base. The site's delivery checker lists Portugal as a served destination for standard grocery boxes, quoting a 20kg box to Portugal for GBP 8.99 with delivery guaranteed. The same shipping information also shows a separate line for Chilled Express Delivery to Portugal alongside a "no delivery to Portugal currently" note elsewhere on the same page, so it is not fully clear from the site alone whether chilled or perishable items can currently be sent to Portugal (worth confirming directly before ordering anything needing cold-chain delivery). For the Algarve's British and Irish expat community, this means access to familiar UK grocery brands delivered to the door, with the standard (ambient) delivery route to Portugal clearly confirmed on the company's own site.
