Beach Hut Watersports

Beach Hut Watersports has operated from Praia da Luz, a village around 5km from Lagos, since 1988, and describes itself as one of the largest and oldest marine operators in the Algarve. It holds Marine-Tourism Operator licence C-121/2010 and a dolphin-watching licence from ICNF (AOC/14/2015), alongside a wider watersports offering that spans sailing, windsurfing, water ski and wakeboard, jet skis, kayak tours and stand-up paddle. Its dolphin watching trip runs 1.5 hours from Praia da Luz aboard a RIB, three times daily (09:00, 11:00 and 13:00, booking one day in advance), priced at EUR 40 for adults and EUR 25 for children, with family and group discounts available. Because sightings in the wild cannot be guaranteed, the company offers a free re-board on a later trip if no dolphins are spotted, a guarantee it markets as "100 percent". Species commonly seen include common dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, Risso's dolphin and harbour porpoise, alongside occasional sightings of minke whale, orca, sea turtles and several shark and seabird species, which the site documents in detail alongside its cetacean observation rules.
