Archie Construction

Archie Construction is an excavation, groundworks and site preparation contractor working across the Algarve, founded by Archie Storey (CPCS-certified) and fully insured. The operating model is a lead operator plus a network of vetted specialists brought in to scale up for larger jobs. Core services are landscaping excavations (garden reshaping, planting areas, patio and terrace preparation), ground levelling and grading using laser checks and compaction, driveway sub-base preparation and resurfacing readiness, trenching for drainage and utility runs with neat reinstatement, pool earthworks (excavation, backfill and grading for new pools and refurbishments), bulk earthmoving and platform preparation for small development sites, and site clearing (vegetation stripping, debris removal, pad setup). The fleet is Kubota-focused: a U27-4 compact mini excavator with zero tail-swing for tight-access residential landscaping and trenching, and a U48-4 mid-size excavator for platform preparation, driveway work and pool earthworks on larger jobs. Core coverage is Loule, Almancil, Faro, Albufeira and Vilamoura, with Tavira and Portimao considered depending on scope and travel. The process is a free site visit to assess constraints, followed by a written quote with a clear scope and estimated days; minimum booking is 7 hours per project day.
