Alvor Fishing Donzela

Alvor Fishing Donzela runs fishing charters out of Alvor aboard "Donzela", a 32 foot Rodman 900 powered by twin Volvo engines. The boat has a cabin with a small kitchen and berth, a full set of navigation and safety electronics, and a fighting chair for big game fishing. The operation is run by Captain Miguel Alexandre, who comes from a fishing family. The trip menu covers most levels of fishing: two-hour family fishing trips (shared or private), four-hour bottom fishing trips in the morning or afternoon, six-hour jigging and shark fishing trips, and big game fishing trips for marlin, tuna and dorado. All trips include fishing gear, and a one-day fishing licence can be arranged on board for EUR 5 per person. Guests are welcome to take their catch home, and non-fishing spectators can join most trips at a reduced rate. Shared trips start from EUR 35 per person for family fishing, rising to EUR 200 per person for jigging; private charters range from EUR 280 for a two-hour family trip to EUR 1,200 for a big game boat rental.
