Algarve Electric

Algarve Electric is a team of English-speaking electricians covering the whole Algarve, from Faro and Albufeira to Lagos, Tavira and everywhere in between. The team was set up to solve a common problem for expats: finding a reliable, English-speaking tradesman in Portugal, so every job, from the first phone call to the finished paperwork, is communicated entirely in English. Services include general electrical repairs, full villa rewiring (common in Algarve properties built before the 1990s), solar panel installation, air conditioning installation and servicing, pool and garden electrics, security and smart home systems (CCTV, alarms, electric gates), and EV charger installation with UPAC solar integration. The team also provides pre-purchase electrical inspections and compliance certificates needed for Alojamento Local (AL) licence applications, insurance and legal requirements, and handles power upgrades including Termo de Responsabilidade submissions, E-REDES paperwork and DGEG certification. Emergency electrical callouts are covered every night from 8pm to 7am across the whole region, alongside same-day callouts during working hours for issues such as tripping fuse boxes, dead sockets, burning smells or exposed wiring.
