Auction House Algarve

Auction House Algarve is a British-style auction house founded in 2011 by auctioneer and co-owner Mark Monkman, bringing traditional British auctioneering methods to the Algarve's international community. The company is based in a purpose-built saleroom of more than 900 square metres in Sao Bras de Alportel, with in-house photography facilities used to catalogue consignments from across the region and further afield. The house runs a regular programme of live and online timed auctions covering antiques, fine art, jewellery, watches and collectables, with each sale previewed for viewing in the days beforehand. Bidding is open in the saleroom, over the phone, or through the company's own online bidding platform and mobile app, so buyers can take part from outside Portugal. Beyond auctioneering, Auction House Algarve offers free valuations by appointment for items being considered for sale, house and business clearance services, and can arrange collection, restoration and cleaning of consigned pieces. Larger collections or full house clearances can be valued on site, with saleable items entered into an upcoming auction and the rest cleared.
