MOCHILA 26: International Children’s Theatre Festival in Faro, 1 to 10 May

The 6th edition of MOCHILA brings ten days of international theatre, music, dance and new circus for children and young people across nine Faro venues, from 1 to 10 May 2026.

MOCHILA is the central Algarve's flagship family-arts festival. Programming runs across more than 20 shows covering theatre, music, dance, performance, installation and new circus, deliberately curated for young audiences and the adults who come with them.

Venues include Teatro das Figuras, Cineteatro Maria Flaminga, LAMA Black Box and Jardim da Alameda João de Deus. Most shows are free; paid ticketing applies for headline acts (Dino D'Santiago and Sam the Kid) and Cineteatro sessions, plus selected theatre pieces like "FOMO" and "Todos da Terra."
