Most Algarve design practices specialise either in interiors or in architecture, which often leaves clients managing two teams on one project. Susana Guerreiro built her atelier around an integrated model: interiors, architecture and, when needed, landscaping are handled under one roof, so the design language carries through from the facade to the last light fitting.

Susana trained in the United Kingdom at Staffordshire University after beginning her academic path in law, and founded the atelier in 2001. Twenty-four years in, the practice works across primary homes, holiday properties and investment portfolios, with projects in the Algarve, Lisbon and other parts of Portugal. The design language balances contemporary and traditional Portuguese vocabulary, shaped around each client rather than built around a house style.

Every project begins with a detailed brief, material palette and space plan, then progresses through custom carpentry, exclusive furniture design and full project management on site. Clients range from individual homeowners doing a once-in-a-decade renovation to property investors commissioning multiple units. Many clients return across several properties, which is the strongest signal of how the practice operates.
