Sitting atop a hill overlooking the central coast, Lagoa is the heart of the Algarve's wine region. It balances traditional agricultural roots with being the administrative home of the region's most famous beaches (Marinha, Benagil). It hosts the massive Fatacil agricultural fair and offers a quieter, authentic base.
